Madisen Jacques '23 Recruiting Profile

My name is Madisen Jacques. I swim for the Langley Olympians Swim Club. I have been swimming for 12 years and have become very accomplished in both athletics and academics. I currently hold 7 provincial age groups in the age group below me currently and held a national age group record in 100 fly for the 12-13 age group. I won a junior national title in 2019 in both 100 fly and 400 IM. I ranked 1st in Canada 2019-2021 in 100 and 200 fly LCM. I excel at national and international meets as I compete well under pressure and am skills in handling nerves and using them to my advantage. I consistently have a goal I am working towards and work both in and out of the pool to accomplish my goals.

During my 12 years of swimming, I have never found a coach I am unable to work with. I am out going and energetic, I love making new friends and I’m always up for a challenge. I am a good supporter and love supporting my friends and team makes in their accomplishments. I believe racing team mates and good competition is beneficial in practices to make us better. I am a good natural leader but am also able to follow directions when I know it is needed.

I look for a school that excels both academically and athletically. One that will help me reach my goals and value my opinions. I see myself attending a university that puts high standards on athletics but one that will also push me beyond my goals in my athletics.
