Zachary McLeod '25 Recruiting Profile

My name is Zach McLeod, I live in Vancouver Canada and currently swim with the Winskill Dolphins Swim Club. I was born in September 2007 and will graduate in June 2025. I am currently a nationally carded Canadian athlete and a member of the National Development Team for Swim Canada. I specialize in the 200 fly, 800/1500 freestyle, and open water distance events and am a versatile swimmer who excels in a team environment. In 2022 I was part of the Canadian Team that participated in the World Junior Open Water Championships in the Seychelles and this summer placed 6th nationally in the 10km open water qualifying event for the 2024 World's in Doha. 

In my sophomore year of highschool I achieved a 4.0 GPA and I work hard to balance excellence in both the pool and the classroom. My career aspiration is to be a physio therapist. Growing up I also played field and box lacrosse and I recently completed my National Lifeguard certification. I have two cousins who played varsity sports (softball and lacrosse) at NCAA Division 1 schools and they have inspired me to pursue an opportunity to swim at an NCAA Division 1 school.
