Taylor Jacobson '22 Recruiting Profile

Hello! My name is Taylor Jacobson and I am a junior at Evergreen High School in Evergreen, Colorado. I swim on both the varsity high school team at my school and my club team the Jeffco Hurricanes. I have swam competitively for more than 10 years. I enjoy swimming freestyle, butterfly, and IM events. Last year at 3A High School State, I was part of both of the winning relay teams, and helped lead my team to a State Championship for the second time in a row by making it back and placing in finals for both my individual events. I became interested in swimming because throughout my life, I have always wanted to be in the water, and competitive swimming was a natural fit. Swimming has brought me happiness and a sense of family that I am very lucky to have. I bring a strong work ethic and unrelenting commitment to improving my swimming and supporting my team.  I hope to continue this energy and sense of community through my college career.

Swimming has taught me a lot. It has taught me how to manage my time well, how to work hard, and how to be a good teammate. I have learned never to give up and challenge myself, no matter how many setbacks you may have to overcome. It has led me to be the great student that I am. I have a 4.2 weighted GPA and have taken many honors and AP classes throughout my high school experience and am planning on continuing to take more. I am looking into a degree in either graphic, architectural or interior design in college, and continuing to challenge myself. I hope that my college experience includes my love of swimming and a great education to lead myself throughout my life.
