Personal Statement
I was introduced to competitive swimming at the age of 13 and fell in love with the sport. I was always into sports such as; dance, cheerleading, cross country, track, anything that looked fun. When I was a freshman my I was on the cheer team and my swim coach told me to work with the dive coach. Me being the person I am said okay i'll try it out for one practice. little did I know I would stick with it for four years.
Swimming is a big part of my life, I can never get enough of it, but its not all i do. I am proudly the president of my philanthropy club at school (Magnified Giving). I started as a sophomore and loved the fact of raising money for non-profits and helping the community around me. It has opened my mind to a whole new world. Meeting new people that share the same passion of giving back is truly a blessing.
