Rebecca Raziano '25 Recruiting Profile

My name is Rebecca Raziano and I have been swimming since I was 5 years old. To say I have always loved swimming wouldn't exactly be the truth, but something that I can say for a fact is that I have never given up on it. No matter how much I dread early mornings, double practices, and hard sets, I always somehow find myself on the pool deck 10 minutes before practice starts, ready to get in the water. The reason being that swimming has been an escape for me, especially this past year. I have had the hardest work load of my academic career, with 4 AP and 2 honors classes, and swimming has given me about 2 hours, and sometimes more, every day where I can forgot all of my stress, and release it all in the pool. Something that has helped with that the most is the incredible friendships I have made on my team. The atmosphere of our team is like no other. We do our team cheer before every meet, we stand at the end of our teammates' lanes for all 66 laps of the mile, and we encourage each other to not only be better in the pool, but also in all aspects of life. This team has shaped me to be the swimmer and person I am today: dedicated, passionate, and encouraging.
