Kallen Huth '24 Recruiting Profile

Growing up, I have always had a passion for swimming. It started when I was four when I joined my local summer swim team, and the passion only progressed from there. Since then, I have swam for my middle school, high school, and year-round club. I plan to continue my swimming career in college, and further improve my skills to the best I am capable of. With any given task, I am hard-working, determined, and put my all into it. This helps me exceed the easy situations and push through the hard ones, whether that be in the pool or academically. I also love being a part of a team. Being able to learn from others, share goals and celebrations, and feel like I am a part of something bigger motivates me to be better. Finally, I strongly believe in accountability. Because of this, I am always open to constructive criticism, willing to work harder and make changes in order to help reach my personal goals, as well as team goals. 

Along with swimming, I also highly value academics. I am currently in my Junior year of high school and challenge myself by taking honors and AP classes, maintaining a GPA of 4.2 and higher. Additionally, I am a member of the National Honors Society and the Latin National Honors Society. I am also active in my community, completing a total of 45 service hours this year, lifeguarding, and coaching for a neighborhood summer swim team. With the combination of my academics, community work, and year-round swim commitments, I have learned how to properly manage and maximize my time. Specifically, year-round swimming has taught me valuable lessons that have made me a better person both in and out of the pool.
