Soccer became a part of my life at a very young age when my dad began coaching my older sister. Playing with the older kids ignited something in me and soccer quickly became my passion. Moving to another state in middle school taught me to be adaptable, open to new experiences, push myself outside of my comfort zone, and grow confidence. I experienced new teammates, different coaching styles and types of play. It drove me to keep working hard and pushing myself both physically and mentally to further develop as a player.
As a skilled defender, I have a strong ability to read the field, control the game, and anticipate the moves of an opponent. I am a selfless player who is willing to play where the team needs, am adaptable in my positioning and proficient in passing. I effectively communicate with my teammates and coaches, often taking on a leadership role. I hold myself and those around me accountable and strive daily to succeed both on and off the field.
The field is where I feel most focused and find my internal motivation. My goal is to continue playing soccer at the highest level possible. I am looking for an institution where I can find the right balance between academics and the field.
