Eugenia Landivar '24 Recruiting Profile

        To be honest, I never thought I was going to be a swimmer, but after an injury playing volleyball I ended up swimming. Although I didn't know the first thing about swimming, the second I touched the water I knew it was going to be part of my life. I'll admit it, it was difficult to start a sport so late since the club I swam in was full of champions who competed internationally. But surprisingly, in less than a year swimming I managed to qualify for the championships, be in the top 10 of Puerto Rico and eventually break two national records. During this experience, I learned that I am capable of achieving something so unusual in such a short period. My academic goals for high school and college are to maintain excellent grades, improve my writing skills, and expand my knowledge through reading. Therefore, I would like to continue to swim and develop new skills within a college that will help me achieve my goals.
