Qualifying for the Texas 5A State Championship as a freshman was a high point of my high school swimming career so far.  More special though was being chosen as a team captain for my sophomore year, the first time in school history the honor was bestowed on an underclassman.  This meant balancing my commitment as a team leader with my individual goals.  I feel I was successful in accomplishing both, qualifying again for the state championship, improving on my personal best times, and being selected to lead the team as captain for the upcoming 2019-2020 year.

Growing up in a small town does not usually lend itself to a competitive athletic program, but I have been fortunate to work with a gifted coach and exceptional team and utilize those opportunities to become a contender at the state level. I believe I have the talent and perseverance to compete at the college level.  I am looking for a program that fits me as an athlete and a student.  I feel like my leadership skills and dynamic personality will make a significant difference on your team, even as a freshman!
