Chantel Watson '23 Recruiting Profile

I’ve been swimming for as long as I can remember. Swimming in college has never been a second thought. In life, my greatest aspiration is to be successful. I believe swimming in college will help me towards success. Regardless of what I’m doing, I want to succeed. I put that mindset towards swimming and my academics. In the 2021-2022 season, I was 0.01 seconds away from going to State, in my 50 free, at 6A Regionals. I am extremely excited for what I’m yet to accomplish and plan on being the first girl at Klein Cain to go to State next year.

Not only am I striving to be a memorable swimmer, but I’m also striving for success in the Engineering field and potentially one day starting my own company. Even with my significantly good GPA, I don’t think success is fully determined by intelligence rather it’s brought on by determination, confidence and proactively.
