Personal Statement
I began swimming at age nine. I knew immediately that I loved swimming and wanted to be the best. Competing at the collegiate level is the next step in my training and I am ready for the commitment it takes to get there.
I am very competitive in the water and out. I am a shy person, but when I swim, I am more confident. I am hardworking; if I set a goal I will do whatever it takes to reach it .
In the classroom, like at the pool, I strive to be the best that I can be. I work very hard to keep good grades. Outside of school and swimming, I volunteer in my church nursery and in the children's youth group.
I want a college that is more than just sports because I want to succeed in not only swimming, but in academics and in life. I am ready to give 100% to be the best I can be.
