2024 SpotlightPersonal Statement
I have been playing tennis since I was 7 or 8 years old. My dad was a division 1 college tennis player many years ago and was highly ranked here in the Midwest for several years. I enjoy playing tennis for a couple of reasons:
- Competition, being able to play with both juniors and adults with varying degrees of tennis experience.
- Social, being able to compete as both as a team player and as an individual (ie High School tennis).
- Mental, being that tennis is more mental than physical once you have honed your strokes.
- Lifetime, being able to play this wonderful sport well past high school or college.
While I am not a UTR 10, 11 or even higher and I am realistic on my college tennis aspirations, I hope that if I am lucky to play college tennis that I can quickly contribute to both the team and the university. Thanks for reading my personal statement!
