I started playing tennis at the age of eight years old. At first it was just a summer program that I thought was quite fun. After playing tennis for a few weeks, my coaches started to notice my potential. They advised me to go to a club, somewhere I can get more serious practice. I started playing at Arrowhead Tennis Club in 2016. I quickly became very good at tennis and grew as an athlete from there. I now have been playing for seven years and I would say I am very determined and motivated to keep growing and excelling.
From a young age, I have always taken school and my academics very seriously. I always knew it was very important to get good grades, test scores, etc. For as long as I can remember, I always had high grades, perfect test scores, and a driven spirit. Ever since then, I have kept up the same great grades and motivation. Currently I am an AP, CAP, and honor student in the STEM and Medical Academy at my high school. At the moment, I have all high A's, a 5.05 gpa, and advanced classes. There is nothing I take more seriously than my academics and tennis.
Freshman year in high school, I played second singles on the varsity tennis team. My record is 16 out of 17 games throughout the whole 2022 season. For a few of the games including a state championship game, I played first singles while my teammate was out, I won these games as well. I played in the Burlington County Scholastic League Tournament October of last year and won first place for second singles. I skipped my sophomore year so I am now a junior, currently I am still on Varsity, playing first singles. Although most of our games have been cancelled, I finished my season with a 9:1 record and I am first seed in my division. I once the Burlington County Scholastic League Tournament once again this year but for first singles. I understand that there is still a lot more room for me to grow in my future and by getting more recognition and exposure, the sky is the limit.
I hope to major in the STEM/Medical field. I am open to any NCSA division college. I am a good candidate for your team because I am driven, motivated, and determined to be my greatest self and to improve as an athlete and a student. I am open to any and all colleges. I will never fail to impress with my progress, improvement, and achievements.
I am apart from the rest because not only do I excel with tennis and my academics, but I do volunteer around my community on the daily basis. I have helped out at my local family success center, I have volunteered at one of the elementary schools in my district after school for the 21st century program, to help during clubs. I am currently interning at the Pemberton Township Municipal Building to get to know the inner workings of my community’s government. I care about my community and make sure to show my gratitude by helping others. As a recruit, I am well-rounded and I try my best to succeed at everything I do.
