Mckaila Davis '20 Recruiting Profile

Winning conference as a freshmen was truly the highlight of my high school career. However, my goals were shattered when I found out I had to have surgery on both feet my sophomore track season. This not only took me out of running, it also required me to quit volleyball in order to recover to run. Although I felt broken from the heart breaking news, I grew the most mentally by having to build my confidence back up and focus on healing stronger than before. Not to mention my amazing support system that surrounded me. I had my family, friends, former and current coaches checking up on me weekly, and I never felt alone through the process. This pivotal moment in my career will forever positively affect my outlook on my hard work, competitive drive, and sportsmanship. I want to be able to show my personal character through my team and build a relationship while also competing and studying at a competitive level. As a previous four sport athlete, I understand the hard work and dedication it takes to be a strong athlete, and I know that I can bring that and much more to your team.
