Personal Statement
Hello! My name is Kaitlin McKeogh and I am a senior at Terra Linda High School in San Rafael, California. I love to run and enjoy the opportunity to compete. I have run cross country since I was a freshman and earned a spot on the All-County team each year. This Fall, I placed 9th at the North Coast Section meet qualifying for an entry at the State Meet. Before coming to Track last year as a junior, I played soccer spending six years at the club level. In High School I played Varsity soccer for 2 years before switching to Track. I really enjoyed my first track season and was successful in the 800M and 1600M, making it to the NCS meet in both events. As a Senior, I am now fully focused on running! This year I was selected as to be the Captain of the Track Team and also served as Captain for my Cross Country team. At college, I am interested in majoring in Biology and becoming qualified as a Physical Therapist. I would love to run for my college. I feel I have not yet reached my potential as an athlete – my PRs continue to drop – and I would love the chance to train and complete at a high level.
