Judy Ann Cabico '19 Recruiting Profile

        I’m a good candidate for your team because I’m a well-rounded student athlete. I’m involved with the community, student and athlete concerns and has a good academic standing. Because of athletics, especially basketball and track I have gained many experiences that helped me build my values and skills. All values and skills gained are applied in my daily lifestyle, whether it’s in the classrooms, workplace, or at home. I am very determined especially when it comes to my academics and career goal as a radiologist. At Waipahu High School I am a part of the Academy of Health and Science which provides me rigorous science courses to help me prepare for my field of career. I recently was given this opportunity to build and gain my knowledge towards the field of medicine through a Medical Assisting cohort program with Kapi’olani Community College (KCC) and Hawaii Pacific Health (HPH). In this program I am taking college courses through KCC and after the program when I graduate from KCC and Waipahu, I will be given the opportunity to work in HPH facilities such as Pali Momi Medical Center, Kapi’olani Medical Center for Women and Children, Straub and Wilcox Clinics. I will continue to further my education to get me where I want to be. 

        I am different from other athletes in character and athletics because I am an athlete who is passionate about what I do. I always get right back up when facing obstacles. I never give up on things that I can prove I am capable of doing. I believe in progress and being patient. Great things don't automatically come to me. I work hard in order to achieve my goals, I make them possible. Great things take time and time will eventually come.
