Emily Adkisson '16 Recruiting Profile

In college I hope to excel in the classroom as well as on the track. During my high school years I have maintained excellent grades while juggling a part time job my Sophomore and Junior year. Each track season I am continually improving, surprising many of my teammates and coaches. In my junior spring season I was able to break the 14 year old school record for the 800 and my time had dropped almost exactly 10 seconds from my sophomore year. My time at the State championships got me to 8th place Class 4 and I was also put on a list of National Elites, a list only one other teammate and I are on from our school. I have been blessed with the ability to run and compete as well as being able to learn in an amazing school and I never want to take these things for granted. In college I will continue to work hard and train and use my gifts to their full advantage.
