Lauren Richardson '17 Recruiting Profile

I am a well rounded person and I have many interests. I love sailing and have been sailing/racing for half of my life. I spent last summer in the British Virgin Islands, living on a sailboat with 12 other teens. We sailed to 10 different Islands in very challenging conditions. It was an awesome life changing experience. In grade/middle school I was on a dance team, cheer team, gymnastics team and soccer team.  I also play club soccer with the Tidal wave soccer team. I played JV soccer and varsity track in my Freshman and Sophomore year. In my Freshman year, I broke all of my schools records for pole vaulting and won the Freshman State Championship. I  went to States in Rhode Island for in my Freshman and Sophomore year for pole vaulting. This year, my Junior year, I made the varsity soccer team and will be competing in indoor and outdoor track again. I am also going to Patriot Pole Vaulting in Westborough Massachusetts to improve on my pole vaulting skills. In my spare time, I volunteer with St Luke's Catholic Church. This April 2016, I am very excited to be volunteering at an orphanage for children with special needs in Jamaica with other missionaries. I am looking for a college with great academics, strong athletic programs and a fun energetic environment for students.
