Personal Statement
My name is Sierra Holdman. I am a Senior at Midway High School in Waco, Tx. I have ran 100m Hurdles and 300m Hurdles since my 7th grade year moving on to Varsity my Sophomore year with a PR of 17.12 for the 100m Hurdles and 50.97 in the 300m Hurdles. As a Junior I was able to bring my PR for the 100m Hurdles down to a 15.86 and for the 300m Hurdles to a 47.78. I believe I am a great candidate for collages because I work really hard in my athletics ability so I can strive to be the best. Running is a passion for me that burns as bright as sun and coaches that I have trained with will tell you the same. Running helps me overcome so many obstacles which I believe is why hurdles was the event that stuck with me. The hurdles are a literal representation of obstacles I have to deal with. They are not easy but putting in effort and getting up off the floor after falling numerous times to try again is something only the strongest athletes are able to accomplish and in the 6 years I have done hurdles I can confidently say I am one of those athletes. I plan on continuing my career in running and hopefully transition to the focus of being a law student.
