Hello, I'm Ava! Running has always been something I have been interested in my entire life, but in 6th grade was when I wanted to start doing it competitively. Before running I was a big swimmer. I made zones twice for my state, qualified for y-zones, swam at many colleges, and qualified for many other competitive meets. I have swam for 7 years, and I am still swimming today as cross training for running. I started the cross country team and fell in love with it first practice. It was a really good way to manage my stress, and to meet new people.
Although I haven't gotten too in depth with what goals or aspirations I have for college, I have some ideas on what I want to do. I like finance, marketing, and business. Currently, I can possibly see myself as a realtor, or possibly a lawyer.
Character wise, people often describe me as funny, nice, kind, energetic, creative, hardworking, and trustworthy. I think that making people laugh and putting a smile on someone else's face makes me happy. I love cheering up someone's day by giving them a good joke or laugh.
Leadership awards: chosen freshman student athlete of my school to go to the Chick-Fil-A leadership summit.
Team awards: Fastest girl in my grade/school for 6th grade cross country season, and in 8th grade cross country season I won the "comeback award" as I had covid side effects for 5 months making it hard to run in 7th grade. In 8th grade track season I won the most valuable girl runner for my team, and in 9th grade so far this xc season I also won the most valuable girl runner for my team again. (track got cancelled in 6th grade, and I wasn't able to run track in 7th due to my sickness)
