My collegiate goals and aspirations currently are to a Criminal Justice lawyer, a doctor, and if possible I would like to be a professional volleyball player. I would like to have a career in law because I believe that everyone deserves to have the justice that they deserve. Meanwhile, I would also like to have a career in the medical field because I want to help people when they need the help that can't be provide by just anyone. Ever since I was little, I was always passionate about helping people when they needed someone. I found my passion for volleyball at the end of sixth grade when I was trying out for my seventh grade year. Unfortunately, I didn't make the team that year. After I didn't make the team, I decided that I wasn't going to let this small setback stop me so, I trained everyday for about 5-6 hours. I studied and practiced the skills for every position so I would be a utility and all-around player. At the end of my seventh grade year, I had moved schools, and I had tried out for the eight grade season and made the team. I was overjoyed that I made the team and I get to play for my first year of volleyball but I reminded myself that I still have a long way to go in my journey. I hope to live a stable lifestyle after volley and college. I am interested in a school that provides a great academic program and completive athletic program. As I am performing to the best of my current ability, I hope to have the opportunity to play at a higher level in the future. I consider myself to be coachable and a leader among other players. I often try to make sure that everyone has everything they need, I always have extra supply and materials that other players can use/have when they have forgotten something, I try to keep everyone in an uplifting mood at all times, and I'm always willing to help when needed. Academically, I stay on top of my grades, I have been a straight 'A' student ever since third grade, even with the constant moving that comes with being a military child. Other ways to keep track with my progress is on my instagram (@saraya._.vb2026) and my YouTube (@sarayahenderson1742)
