Ashley Hicks '20 Recruiting Profile

Hi my name is Ashley Hicks and I am  17 years old and a Senior at Chugiak High School in Alaska.  I am in the graduating class of 2020.  I hold a Weighted GPA of 3.54.  I am a AP, Honor Student and Spanish Immersion Student since Kindergarten.  I am also part of Student Government for the past 3 year and my Junior year I held office of Class Treasure, though my Senior I will be the Syptudent Body Secretary.  I bring great leadership to our class.  I am a member of the National Honor Society.

I have been a volleyball player since 6th grade.  As a freshman I made our JV Team as well as my Sophomore year but was then pulled up to Varsity and letter Varsity my Sophomore Year.  I made the Varsity Team my Junior year.  I have been playing Competitive Volleyball for the past four years and as a Sophmore I played on the JV Gold Team at Midnight Sun. And my Junior year I made the Varsity Silver Team. I specialize in outside hitter, right side hitter and defensive specialist.  I was selected out of my club to make the festival team and we competed in Phoenix AZ and placed 33 in are age group.

I also play soccer and have played 4 years rec soccer and then competitive soccer since 4th grade- 8th grade. I made the Varsity Team my Freshman and Sophomore and Junior year and was named Impact Player of the year and Best Defensive Player of the year.  I also compete in Triathlons for the past 4 years and my last Triathlon I placed 3rd place in my age group.  I love to hike and bike and be outside in nature.  Living in Alaska has allowed me all these great experiences and has molded me into the person I am today.

I believe that I have the skills and talent to play for a College Team.  I have a strong work ethic and leadership skills that I believe will impact and make me a better player.
