Personal Statement

Football is my passion. I started playing football at the age of 6 and from the moment I put pads on I knew this was a sport that I wanted to strive and compete at a higher level.  Playing in college is a dream not everyone is able to achieve but one that I am willing to put in the work to make a reality for me.

I am a firm believer that everyone has areas to improve and I am open to an critiques on areas for me to improve. The moment I receive any feedback I immediately go to work and try and fine tune my skills so I can get I can get better. Last year was my first year as a  team leader and did my best to lead by example. This coming year if afforded the opportunity to be a leader my goal is to help inspire and encourage my teammates with my hard work and play. As I’ve mentioned I love feedback and feel like I am very coachable. My number one goal while on the field or practicing is to be one of the hardest working players. I truly believe that I can be one of the hardest working recruits you’ll find out there

In the classroom there were times I  struggled due to my dyslexia. However because of my learning disability it forced me to work twice as hard as everyone to maintain close to 3.0 GPA. Having to learn with this disability has proven to not only myself but those around me that whatever I put my mind to I can accomplish. By accepting me a a recruit this should show that no matter what obstacle I encounter I will work harder than anyone to overcome.

I want to attend a college where I can continue to be in an environment that pushes me to be the best me not only in school but also on the football field. I am open to all paths and want to hopefully find the right college match for me and one that affords me the opportunity of the highest level of competition possible.  My parents have to worked hard to give me all the opportunities I have received in life and want to take the next step so I can make them proud and hopefully inspire others around me
