I first started playing volleyball when I was 10 years old, tagging along with my mom to high school practices while she was coaching. As a coach's daughter, I have always had to work twice as hard as my teammates to prove myself; never giving people a chance to question my place on the team. As I began to strive for perfection I started to love the game and the love has never ended. After games, I constantly replay plays in my head, asking myself how I could have played better. I make mental lists about what I need to fix. My ultimate goal is to play the perfect volleyball game. I know I will never accomplish this, but in the process of chasing it I will catch excellence. Academically my passion to compete shines through, as I plan to become a Lawyer. This will fulfill my love for reading as well as my will to defeat my opponent. I am a hard worker and will strive to never let my teammates or my coach down. I have excelled at both team sports and individual sports, due to the fact that I have grown up playing them. In addition to my accomplishments as a volleyball player, I have started varsity basketball sense my freshman year and I also hold the school record in the discus. These accomplishments support the fact that I am self-motivated as well as able to put myself aside to achieve a common goal. I have a strong moral compass that has always guided me through life with integrity and character. I credit this to God and my passion to follow him. I am enthusiastic about everything I pursue and plan on continuing that mentality through collegiate sports and academics at the college I attend.
