Hey! My name is Piper Oke; I am from Calgary, AB, Canada. I am currently playing as an opposite, defensive specialist, and a middle for Southern Alberta Volleyball Club, better known as SAVC. I have enjoyed working with many amazing coaches through my development with Canada West, Rampage, and my personalized on-court training with Natke Volleyball.
The game was introduced to me when I was very young, as I had university athletes as babysitters. Those experiences helped contribute to my current game IQ. I am very intuitive and have worked hard to become a better reader and tracker to anticipate plays better. Physically, I have many tools in my pocket to help get around large blocks and make the other team work for each point; as much as I love to swing, I know that it is not always the best option.
Academically, I strive to improve in the classroom by continuously contributing my thoughts and working through all questions I may have with others. As I have progressed through school, I have learned to be open to other people's opinions or ideas that may differ from mine to reach a favorable decision collectively. I would be interested in studying Sports Medicine, Kinesiology, or Forensics in post-secondary, but I am still open to learning about more professions as I continue through high school.
I'd love the opportunity to play high-level college volleyball and help positively impact any team I am honored to play for.
