Jadyn Torres '25 Recruiting Profile

My name is Jadyn Torres and it has been a life-long dream to play college volleyball.  Both of my parents were college athletes and they instilled in me the importance of teamwork, academic achievement, and the drive to never give up!  I am different from other recruits because I have been through a difficult time in my life and I have not let it hold me back.  My father, who was a Police Officer passed away very quickly when I was 11 years old.  When this happened, I became so lost.  I had to grow up very quickly and trivial things in life were no longer of importance.  I spent several months traveling the globe with my mom, and on my own.  My perspectives on life have changed.  Most kids my age are busy worrying about their social media and other materialistic objects.  I'm focused on what I want to do with my life and how I can impact the world.  One key factor in helping me achieve this goal, is through volleyball.  Volleyball serves as my driving force to get me into college so I can focus on my goal in sports medicine, all while playing the sport I love.  I currently have a 4.0 GPA and take all Honor and AP courses.  No matter what, at the end of the day, I will go to college.  There are so many things I want to achieve in this lifetime, and playing volleyball will always accompany those dreams.  So choose me, Jadyn Torres, because I will never give up.
