Savannah Gulstad '14 Recruiting Profile

Currently, I have signed with South Mountain Community College and I'm very excited! And I look forward to playing volleyball at a University after a year and a half at SMCC! I already completed a semester before going there so I am able to leave after 1 1/2 years.

I started playing volleyball at the age of 7 and have always been a setter, but that doesn't mean I can't play other positions. My second best position is defensive specialist, which I love as well. I led my high school team with 608 assists and 240 digs (not including our libero). I have experience with running a 6-2 and a 5-1. I have been honored with being a captain or co-captain on all my teams along with receiving the Joe Selleh award this high school season. I am constantly trying to be a better teammate by encouraging, supporting, and pushing my teams to victories.

My aspirations for the future are to play volleyball in college where I can be a setter and/or defensive specialist. I want to major in Business Management or Entrepreneurship, and Minor in Fine Art. Someday I dream of owning my own cafe/juice bar where I can sell my art! I am a hard worker on and off the court and always push myself to do better, whether it's getting the set in the right spot, passing every ball I touch perfectly, or perfecting my art techniques.

I am excited to find the right college to help me pursue my future plans and experience competitive volleyball!
