Personal Statement
My name is Ellie Gentry and I play volleyball for Morrilton High School and Hollenball Juniors here in Arkansas. During the summer before fifth grade, I was diagnosed with Linear Morphea which is a form of Scleroderma. This diagnosis has helped to shape the person that I am today. I never quit and pushed through the struggles of this diagnosis in order to reach my goals.
My goal if to one day be a pharmacist, but also a successful collegiate volleyball player. I never take a day off and I never have a bad attitude on the court, no matter what, win or lose. I want my college years to help me to grow as a person and be a dynamic player with a positive influence on and off the court. I intend to be an asset for the team and coaches in whatever position I play.
Thank you for your consideration.
