I am a determined, competitive volleyball player open to all new ideas. I have a 3.9 GPA and plan on keeping it. I have a very strong passion for this sport and wish to keep playing as long as possible. I have aspired to play volleyball in college ever since I started playing in 5th grade. One of my biggest accomplishments in the sport was freshman year, as a captain I lead my team to league champions previous to competing on the junior varsity beach team as the number one pair and winning league in the sand as well. This successful experience grew my confidence, but it was not then that I became the determined, intelligent, and persistent individual I am today.
The summer going into sophomore year, I completed an online BYU college math class to push myself ahead of what was required. There were many days I questioned my ability to complete the course but despite the doubts of myself and others, I not only passed the course but completed with a high A and am now in the top of my IM3 class. This is only one of the many instances throughout my life where I have pushed myself to the brink of failure only to persevere through. I choose to do this because I believe ones worst days, when quitting seems to be the best option, are the days that the most improvement is made. The qualities I obtain could make an immense impact on your program, and benefit your team as well.
