My Name is Peter Andrews and Baseball is my life. From the age of 5 to this day, baseball has always been my dream and goal for my career. I am currently starting catcher for my baseball team at Butte College, and I also play right field when I'm not catching. During my freshman year of college, I was the starting right fielder and was awarded second all conference outfielder with a batting average of .303, on base percentage of .377, and a slugging percentage of .424. My biggest strengths are a powerful bat, strong arm, fast in the outfield and on base, and I'm a consistent hitter.
Along with that, this past summer I was often used as a closing pitcher for the Chico Nuts. I throw a fastball, curve, slider, and circle change on the mound, topping out at 88 mph. Moreover, I often stick to my velocity early in the count and finish with my slider. And to top this off, this was 4 months ago in August. Since then I've been practicing at least 5/7 days a week, along with great conditioning and strength work from my college trainer at Butte, who's helping me hit new PR’s.
My goal is to continue to higher level sports and academics at a university, as well as develop into an example/leader for other student athletes. It would be my honor to play for a college that can help me get to the next level of my career.
