Nicole Diggs '17 Recruiting Profile

I want to attend a college that will challenge me to always better myself. I believe in dedication and delivery. Goals are achieved by hard work and discipline.  I am interested in business management.

I am a team player. I believe every member of a team adds to our success. I enjoy volleyball because of the high speed of the game and the constant need of team communication and skill to deliver the 25 game points. I am an overall team player. Wherever my coach needs me, I am ready to deliver.  At 5'8" I block opponents that are 6' and taller playing middle blocker or outside hitter.  Beginning in 2017,  I am continuing to improve my DS skills while playing all around on the court.

I am currently playing as an outside hitter/DS for my high school team at St. Lucy's Priority High School in Glendora. I enjoy this position because I am quick on my feet.  My coach selected me as Team Captain and plays me all around.  My strength and condition coach has trained me to  have the stamina and endurance to be able play at a fast paced level for all 5 games.

After playing volleyball for the past 5 years, I can honestly say that I am different from most recruits because I only know how to give 100%.  I am very seriously about this game.  I choose to train and take private lessons to continue to improve my volleyball skills with any available time I may have outside of high school.

Outside of the court, I volunteer for cancer support walks (Relay for Life), runs and events. I am thankful for my health. Seeing the strength of people that have fought or are fighting cancer reminds me daily to value and to respect the life I have been blessed with and to not waste a minute of it.
