Sophia Costa '25 Recruiting Profile

I'm excited about this period in my life, it's exciting to know that in a few years I'll be off to college and entering adulthood.  I know who I am, I know where I'm going and I know that I want to continue my education and play volleyball while doing it. 

I'm currently in my Junior year at Los Altos High School and I'm excited about attending and playing volleyball in college.  I started playing club volleyball in the 6th grade and I've loved it ever since.  I'm a starting setter on my high school varsity team as well as the team captain.  I also will be playing for Vision Club 16 - 2's team as a setter for the 2023/2024 season. 

I haven't decided on a major just yet, I have plenty of time to decide what I want to focus on and I'm sure whatever I finally decide on, it'll be something I'm passionate about.  

My time playing high school & club volleyball has taught me to be a leader, to support and encourage my team mates and to play to win. I feel I'm good at taking direction, adjusting and shifting course if necessary.  I'm listening and communicating on and off the court with my team to ensure we are playing cohesively.
