My name is Kaylie Gwinnup and I am currently a Sophomore at Colusa High School. I was a transfer student this year and there were some disadvantages to that. I played Junior Varsity volleyball at Maxwell High School my Freshman year, and was moved up to Varsity for playoffs. This previous season I played Junior Varsity at Colusa High School and was moved up to Varsity for playoffs as a practice player, because of my transfer I was not eligible to wear a uniform, or play during a game. It is my goal to play volleyball at the collegiate level and develop my skills as a player, and my integrity on and off the court. I consider myself a leader of my teams. I am all about encouragement, including my teammates to bond and work together, and I also think building relationships and being coachable are qualities I have and recommend for other players. I am very well-rounded and I am involved in other extracurricular activities such as, FFA (Future Farmers of America), FBLA (Future Business Leaders of America), and ESA (Environmental Sciences Academy). I played in my school's band for 5 years, and although I am no longer enrolled in band at Colusa High School I do continue to develop my musical ability during my free time. I have played other sports such as Softball, Basketball, and I danced competitively for 11 years. I enjoy being involved in many clubs and groups, I also think that I am a determined and strong-willed person who will accomplish anything I set my mind to. Volleyball is my passion, and it is my goal to pursue that. I look forward to hearing from you, contact me anytime.
