When I first picked up a volleyball in seventh grade, I knew that the sport was for me. I started the sport for socialization, however, I really enjoyed it and decided that I wanted to pursue an intense path in the sport. Many of my peers did not support my decision to play volleyball as I was short for my age, however, I am not one to back down from a challenge.
I am a very determined and disciplined student-athlete. I always strive to be the best player that I can be through working hard at practice and never letting any balls drop on the court. My perseverance distinguishes me in the classroom as well because I try my hardest on every assignment.
I want to play volleyball at the highest level that I can. Right now in high school, my goals are to develop as an athlete and to continue building my skills so that I can play at the collegiate level. I want to play volleyball at an academically and athletically challenging school as both athletics and academics are very important to me.
