I am a rising senior (2015) at San Francisco Waldorf High School who would absolutely love to play volleyball in college. I have loved playing the game since I started in 6th grade, and have only become more enthused about it each season. I hope to play at a school with a strong volleyball program and an interesting academic atmosphere.
I am a strong, scrappy player with very good court awareness. I play opposite and outside hitter for my club team, although I play all positions for my school team, even playing libero when needed. I was the most valuable player as a 10th grader for my school’s Varsity team. As an 11th grader I won the coaches’ award, and was named second team all conference. I have played club volleyball for four years, the past two seasons in the Northern California Power League for SF Juniors U16 (as a 15 year-old) and Beach Vibes VBC U18 (as a 16 year-old), currently ranked 20th in Northern California.
My academic record at SF Waldorf is also strong, as I have posted a 3.48 unweighted GPA in a very challenging college prep curriculum that includes mandatory courses in physics, chemistry, biology and earth science. I have also taken honors courses in Geometry and Algebra II. I recently scored a 31 composite on the ACT, with a perfect 36 in reading comprehension. I will take the ACT test one more time this fall.
My coaches' contact information is contained on the NCSA website.
I will be playing sand volleyball for part of the summer, as well as attending some volleyball camps (e.g, City Beach in Santa Clara).
I would love the opportunity to visit with coaches at schools that would be a good fit for me.
I look forward to talking with interested coaches!
Sincerely,
Julia Ingoglia
