Personal Statement

Hi! My name is Elisabeth Peters, but my nickname is Ellie, which is easier to call from the stands and on the court.

I‘ve been playing volleyball since I was in 2nd grade. I played at USVA all throughout elementary school and started playing for my middle school team at my current school Crossroads School for Arts and Sciences in Santa Monica, CA. I then joined LAVA  17s Premier in 10th grade, along with my high school JV team, to get more involved and serious about volleyball after quarantine.

My teammates have all said that I bring humor, excitement, and support on and off the court. That’s always my goal in any team or group I join because I know that people perform the best when they are enjoying it.

My coaches and other mentors in my life know that when I am passionate about something there’s no stopping me at succeeding. I have been known to hold myself to high standards, but I‘ve also been routinely learning how to push myself to grow and not break.

I’m a flexible leader. I will take charge when I or someone believes necessary and I enjoy it. I’ve been known to be an adapter, tough love and cushion support are needed in different spaces and for different people. And I know when to give space for another leader and how to help support them without taking away their charge.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
