Personal Statement

My ultimate ambition is to pursue a college degree and play competitive volleyball. I'm looking forward to major in health science and pursue my career as a pharmacist or a registered nurse. I am capable of being a versatile player and have the necessary skills for it. For my high school team I played setter libero and ds and my main position is setter. For my club teams I've played setter, libero, ds, and oppo. I never feared in playing any position that coaches wanted me to play, instead I played it with commitment and morality. With that I earned a dynamite award from my school season because of the hard work and drive I put on the court and off the court.

I consider myself to be a team leader who leads by example. I was selected to be a team captain for my first two club seasons, and was an extremely coachable player as well as a motivating and supportive teammate. I was also rewarded captain my senior year on varsity. Being a member of a team, accountability, devotion, hard work and tenacity are just few of the many life lessons that my parents firmly believe in and have taught me as I play sports. When I messed up, I didn't rationalize it or think about it too much, instead, I concentrated on improving the next play and redeeming myself. In addition to giving my all at practice, I also put effort outside trying to improve my skills.

I think I'm different from other recruits because I have successfully achieved a balance between family, athletics, and academics and I'm not afraid of hard work. I also really have a good work ethic and I always put my academics first and show the same efforts I do on the court as well as in the classroom.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
