Christa Vogt '19 Recruiting Profile

Volleyball has changed me from the quiet, reserved girl I was in the 6th grade to a young athlete who is confident in herself (and 10x louder).  I have learned about leadership and how to stay resilient through the hard times.  After having a rough start in my freshman and sophomore years of high school because of bullying, I considered quitting volleyball. I was struggling with who I was and what I should be doing, but I had family and friends who helped me realize that when I play, I am the most confident version of myself yet. God helps me grow as a person every time I step on the court. 

Being a student athlete who is also co-president of her class and an elected captain on her volleyball team has taught me where my priorities are. God is the reason I get up every day, and I am blessed to have family and friends who support me in everything I do. Someday I hope to be a volleyball coach so I never have to stop growing through the game I love and can help players unleash their passion.
