When I first stepped onto the volleyball court in 7th grade, I instantly knew I wanted my life to be dedicated to the sport. I aspire to play at the highest levels with my long-term career goal of coaching or commentating at the collegiate/professional levels. I am a strong leader both on and off the court. I love to be loud, positive, and encouraging and I am known for keeping the game energy high. I watch about every college game, usually more than once, as I really enjoy analyzing strategy, keeping up with player and team stats, and learning from these amazing athletes. Since I was 10, I have studied a full-contact martial art called Kyokushin Karate, which helps me with balance, focus, and perseverance. I am a passionate football fan and fantasy football fanatic.
I relentlessly seek out ways to learn and grow my skills. I have attended countless skills camps offered by local clubs and various colleges, both in state and out of state. When not at team practices, I work hard in the gym and dojo, with my private coach and mentor, and my dad at the park. I possess strong blocking skills. I am a strong hitter and defensive player allowing me to play all around. Last season I earned an honorable mention playing in one of Colorado’s toughest high school leagues.
I am determined in the classroom. I work hard to maintain good grades with most of my classes being AP and honors level. Recently, I received a nomination for the Rotary Championship Scholarship. I assist our school’s Athletic Trainer with other sporting events as an athletic training student. I plan to major in exercise science/kinesiology with the goal of becoming a sports medicine physician.
I am open to all opportunities to find the best fit at the highest level of competition.
