Kylie Katcher '23 Recruiting Profile

My name is Kylie Katcher (Channel dashboard - YouTube Studio) and I have been playing since the age of 8. I have been fascinated with the sport of volleyball from an early age and my father has always been the person who inspired me to follow my passion in this sport. I am a junior in high school and graduate in 2023. 

I am currently the Libero for Team Velocity 18 Nak club team. I have played competitive club volleyball for the past 5 years. I am a well-rounded player that can play all positions on the court. I have a great jump serve that I have perfected over the years since 7th grade. 

I am also the Libero for Falcon High School Varsity team. This is my second year playing varsity and began my high school career playing JV as a freshman.  I was awarded 4A Colorado Springs Metro All League Honorable Mention for 2021.

I am very coachable and always stay positive. I never give up and always feel we can overcome any obstacle we face as a team. I have studied the game of volleyball and can read what my opponent is going to do by watching body mechanics. I’ve learned a large amount playing in summer outdoor doubles tournaments with my father for the past 4 years. Throughout my journey in this sport, I have learned to be a composed player, a supporter, and a team leader. I can be a key asset for any coach who is looking to enhance and progress their college volleyball program.

One of my biggest goals is to play college volleyball at a more advanced level. I have an above average GPA and feel academics is just as important to me as playing the sport I love. I am just as passionate playing volleyball as I strive to acquire a business degree that will provide me the means to succeed personally and professionally. I strive by setting realistic and achievable goals, and I hope one day I can pay it forward by mentoring and coaching the game of volleyball.
