My name is Krista Szymanski. I have been playing volleyball for six years. Before volleyball I was a competitive gymnast for seven years. To be able to play volleyball at the college level would enhance my opportunities throughout my college career and also advance me in my professional career after college.
I am an extremely hard worker both on and off the court. On the court, I am focused and always ready for the next ball. I strive to improve my skills and knowledge of the game with every practice, match, and tournament. Off the court, I am a member of the National Honor Society and have also achieved the High Honor Roll for each semester of my High School career.
I enjoy coaching youth volleyball leagues and mentoring players on my high school team who need additional help with volleyball. I participate with the Habitat for Humanity and also volunteer for beach cleanup activities.
I enjoy being part of a team and doing my best to help the team succeed. Playing volleyball in college will enable me to enhance my college experience by creating friendships, giving back to the school and community, and obtaining an education while playing a sport I love. Being part of a college team will impress potential employers by showing them my commitment, dedication, and desire to perform at a high level at all times.
