Ever since my mom bought me my first volleyball, I had a feeling that it would become a major part of my life. The summers to follow my 5th grade year in school, you could find me out in the backyard practicing and serving until the sun set. Volleyball is my passion and my world. Every year, I sacrifice Christmas and birthday presents so my parents are able to afford the fees for club ball. I wouldn't have it any other way though, it's the best kind of gift I could ever ask for. I hope I am able to play at a college level and continue the feeling I get when I put on that jersey and the responsibility that comes along with it. I was the only starting freshman on my high school's varsity team in 2011 and was given the responibility of captain as well. In the 2012 season, I was again chosen as varsity captain, and enthusiastically upheld the responsibilities that came with the privilage. Looking forward to the seasons to come, I will always train hard in the off-season...but for me, there is no off-season, so this means I go hard all the time, every time. My skills as a leader, my work ethic, and, my willingness to be taught new skills make me an asset to any team, anywhere.
