Kyanne Anderson '23 Recruiting Profile

In 8th grade I had no desire to play volleyball, if it wasn't for my best friend convincing me to tryout with her, I would have no clue what volleyball is all about. I quickly fell in love with the sport and have continued to play as a Varsity Captain for my high school team, with 8 "Player of the Match" awards from my junior and senior year and awarded MVP of my team 2 years in a row, volleyball has shaped me into the strong dedicated person I am today. I've always been an all around player, which has made me very comfortable playing defense in back row as well as setting up the kill.  Aside from volleyball, I play for my high school varsity flag football team, while these sports are total opposites, they've both taught me that being on a team makes you grow as an individual. In college, Im looking to major in nursing while playing the sport I love. I am beyond thankful for volleyball and the coaches who have shaped me into the person I am today.
