Hi, I am Reegan and I’m 15 and already 6’0” and growing. I love volleyball. I play both indoor and beach along with soccer and basketball but volleyball is #1.
I’ve been playing for 4 years now and I want to play at the highest levels in college. I can play every position. Coaches love my sets even though I prefer to hit and block. My standing serve is just as deadly as my jump serve.
I am a good student and I work very hard to get good grades. I volunteer for Lab Rescue and I love my 4 Labs and Golden Retriever. I also love NHL Hockey, especially the Panthers.
Last year I got my multiple offers to join some of the best clubs in my area. I chose Boomers. My sister was there for three years and I felt at home there. I was 14 and the placed me on the top 15 team as their starting middle. The second tournament of the year on the third day in gold and in warm ups I came down from an off toss to middle and tore my ACL, Meniscus and PCL. It was very tough. I had finally gotten to the club that I wanted to be with and I loved my team and here I was sidelined for a minimum of 10 months. I had surgery right away and rehabbed immediately. I did PT three times a week and upper body and core training at D1 twice a week. I went to every practice and every tournament no matter where it was with my team except for one.
It was such a huge blow especially because I was doing so well. I took the adversity and I made myself stronger mentally and physically. I train at the best facility in S FL, Barwis Methods, three times a week and still see my PT twice a months especially after 3 day tournaments. I feel great but I take very good care of myself and I have worked harder than I imagined that I could.
This experience is nothing I would ever want anyone to go through but I have made the best of it. I think I may want to be a PT myself and help others.
I have dedicated myself to trying to get better and be the best I can be in the sport I love. I am still very young but I want to fins the best fit for me and help my team every way I can.
Thanks for looking at my profile. Please look at my Instagram page. I have documented my return to play success story.
Sincerely,
Reegan
