Meghan Botsch '17 Recruiting Profile

I am a 5'8" setter from Pace Academy and play club for Tsunami Volleyball. At Pace, I have been on the varsity team for 3 years and was elected captain last year as a Junior when I lead the team to our best season in Pace history: being Area Champs and making it to the elite eight in the state tournament. At Tsunami, I have continued to refine my technique and to grow as a player.

In addition to volleyball, I love working with children. During my summers, I have volunteered at the Dunwoody Nature Center helping out with their children's camp and I have worked at Pace Camp, my school's summer camp. I also am a service leader at my school for Emmau's House, which is a program to help less fortunate children with their homework and activities. I have even earned the Silver Presidential Service Award for the all of the service work I have accomplished. Because I love helping children, I want to continue this passion in college and work towards a degree that will help lead me to a job that allows me to pursue this.

I take challenging classes at my school and have been able to maintain a weighted GPA of 95.77. My school and my family value taking on academic challenges, which has helped me succeed in the classroom and on the court. My school also focuses on a community and family feel that I want to continue in my collegiate experience. I am looking for a strong academic institution with competitive volleyball to push me to be the best I can be in my education and athletics.
