Hello! My name is Arianna Crayton and I’ve been playing volleyball for quite a long time. I started playing volleyball in 4th grade in a regional league, and right away I knew this was something I wanted to do for a long time. That remains true today. I’ve been playing volleyball for 7 years now and not once have I grown tired of it. I love playing volleyball because it gives me a chance to work as a team, be technical, and challenge myself in every way. I have played all aspects of volleyball, indoor and beach volleyball, so I consider myself a well-rounded player. I am very organized and this quality has helped me balance both, my volleyball and academic responsibilities successfully. My current GPA is a 3.5 and I'm in the process of scheduling my SAT and ACT exams in the next few months. I would love to play volleyball in college because I simply just love the sport and the competitiveness nature of it. I am a passionate and competitive player and it shows on the court. My main focus when I play is to stay dynamic and energetic throughout the game, encourage team cohesiveness and communication. I consider myself an encourager as I strive to bring my teammates together and inspire them to do their best for the collective success of the team.
For my major in college, I am considering a Major in Business with a potential minor in music. My favorite part about volleyball is the competitiveness, anticipation and intensity of the game. I have also enjoyed the comradery that we have developed as a team over the years and the bonds created with people whether it’s in club or high school volleyball. I would consider myself a very coachable player. I respect my coaches and accept their advice and feedback with an opened mind and use it to improve my game. My proudest moment would probably be when my team and I went undefeated in the JNQ tournament and qualified for Nationals (2019). My club team (303 Volleyball) has qualified for Nationals two years in a row (2018 and 2019). This has been a great experience for us and had definitely foster a deeper love for the game. I am also proud of my two JV- MVP awards as both my coaches and my teammates are the ones who voted to selected me. I’ve enjoyed playing volleyball for the past 7 years and I will love to continue to play and enjoy the game for many years to come.
