Personal Statement
Aloha! My name is Jordyn Lyn Hayashi. I am from Hilo, Hawaii, and I am currently in the class of 2018 at Waiakea High School. My collegiate goals are to attend a college/university, study my intended major, and hopefully play collegiate volleyball at a high level. I aspire to be a successful student-athlete who puts in countless hours on and off the court in hopes of bettering myself and others around me. I have recently been named the first libero in Big Island Interscholastic Federation Division I history to be named Player of the Year, selected by Hawaii Tribune-Herald, West Hawaii Today, and the league's coaches. I have attended USA Volleyball Programs, and learned many new techniques that I truly believe made me better. I put in extra hours, try to be as optimistic as possible, cheer extra loud, and encourage my teammates on and off the court. I prioritize my time in order to achieve success academically and athletically.
