Aloha! My name is Kaena Kekaualua. I am in the graduating class of 2021 and a current senior at Waiakea High School located in Hilo, Hawaii. I have been playing volleyball for about 11 years and hope to continue my career and compete at college level. My primary position is a Libero but I also am very familiar with playing as a defensive specialist. Throughout my volleyball experience I have worked to develop a strong jump serve, back row attack, and a great passing form. I am constantly risking my body to make sure I am doing my job as a Libero/DS by not letting any balls hit the floor and giving 110% effort. Although COVID-19 has impacted many athletes around the world, I myself continue to work hard outside of club and High School volleyball by staying active and playing in outdoor grass volleyball tournaments. I am more than willing to continue to work hard and improve my skills. I maintain a 3.2 or higher gpa and have completed multiple early college courses which count as a dual credit. My plans for the future are to play collegiate volleyball while getting a bachelor's degree in Nutrition or Athletic Training. My main goal is to be successful athletically and academically.
