Personal Statement
I have lived my whole life in beautiful Coeur d'Alene, Idaho. Everything about where I live is wonderful. I love the mountains, lakes and rivers, the people, my schools, my community and so much more! From the age of 3 I wanted to be like my big sister and play sports. So my mom signed me up for soccer, basketball, dance, softball, tennis, and gymnastics. Volleyball captured my heart at the age of 10 and that's all I've been focusing on since. I plan to play volleyball in college on an athletic and academic scholarship and my goal to help the program win regional championships and play in the National Tournament. I plan to pursue a degree in elementary education. I'm going to be a kindergarten teacher some day because I love working with kids. There are many reasons why a college coach would want me on their team. I am dedicated and committed to doing everything I can to reach my goals. I want to be the best I can be so I take extra volleyball lessons outside of practice, go to clinics and camps, and do weight lifting and fitness training. I am very compassionate and encouraging. I want to help people who need it and I will find ways to make their day. I am a hardworking athlete who is also very quick and strong. I push myself to jump high to overcome my lack of volleyball worthy height. On the court I am intense and focused. My academics rate top of my class. I am a student that doesn't settle for average so I work hard to challenge myself to do well. Earning an A is a natural high for me. A volleyball coach will want me on their team because I will give 100% to my team and do it with a positive attitude. I am well-rounded and have what it takes to be a collegiate volleyball player.
