Personal Statement

Currently committed to Feather River College.

My name is Carissa Chainey. I am a hard working seventeen year old senior in high school. My athletic career began as a gymnast where I won state as a level four.  As much as I loved gymnastics, I knew that volleyball was meant for me. I have dedicated all my time and energy into volleyball ever since the seventh grade. As soon as I stepped out onto the court I knew that I wanted to continue playing for as long as I could at a higher level with my God given talent. I truly love the sport with all of my heart and could not see myself doing anything else! My love for the game shows on the court as I can guarantee that I am the hardest worker in the game. My perserverance does not only show on the court but in the classroom where I have maintained above a 3.7 GPA. When I am not playing volleyball I enjoy spending time with family and friends, reading, weightlifting, running track and baking.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
